Have you ever missed a bite?

SNAP’rCO introduces the SNAP’r, the castable automatic hook setter. The SNAP’r is for anyone regardless of age or skill level who’s ever missed a bite. Simply bait your hook and put your favorite fish attractant on the Chum Strip.

Next pull the cable until the knot is exposed, catch the knot on the outside of the notch, and then cast it. When they hit, it hits back! The SNAP’r will automatically set a hook into a fish's mouth the instant a fish takes your bait.

That means no more missing bites. Once a fish is hooked, the cupped end of the SNAP’r will keep it hooked, by creating a drag in the water, giving you more time to get to your pole. The SNAP’r is made in the U.S.A. with corrosion resistant and stainless steel components, so you can rely on it no matter where you are.

So, whether you are fishing in salt or fresh water, for striper or trout, with the kids or by yourself, it doesn’t matter; the SNAP’r is the perfect choice to ensure you never miss a bite again.

The Snap'r comes in six different chum strip colors

Black, Dark Green, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Chartreuse

SNAP'r the Castable Automatic Hooksetter

We've all heard the saying, "Ten percent of the anglers catch ninety percent of the fish", or, "That's why they call it fishing instead of catching".

Any old angler will tell you it takes years of practice and perseverance to be able to consistently set a hook efficiently and even then you'll still miss more bites than you swing on.

Why? Because a proper hookset must be delivered the instant a fish has the hook in its mouth. If you pull the rod tip up when you feel the bite, in most cases, you're already too late.

Even with a "zero stretch" line, it takes a shock wave (the bite) half a second to travel 50ft (the distance of your cast); and it takes an experienced angler already holding the pole another half-second to react (set the hook), and a final half-second for the shock wave to return to the hook point. If you are in the top ten percentile, thats a second and a half after the fish took the bait into its mouth and spit it out, and that is the reason why when you swing, you still miss.

Now take your three year old fishing, put the rod down in a pole holder, add some wind, darkness, waves, or even double the casting distance, trust me it'll be a lot longer than 1.5 seconds before you can put the hook into that same fish's mouth. Will it still be chewing on the hook after three seconds, what about five? I doubt it.

We here at SNAP'rCO have spent the last four years testing and developing the SNAP'r to make sure that anyone can use it in any water at any time for any species of fish. Regulations permitting. The SNAP'r is legal in most states and most waters accross the globe.

The SNAP'r is a castable automatic hooksetter, that will automatically catch a fish the instant it takes your bait. Just bait your hook, cock the SNAP'r, and cast it to a reasonable location. When a fish bites, a spring inside is released and delivers a sharp and instant hookset. Once Once a fish is hooked, the cupped end of the SNAP’r will keep them hooked, by creating a drag in the water, giving you more time to get to your pole. If it’s a big one, that’s giving you the head shake, then the spring and cable will act as a shock absorber to take all those jolts that could break the line or pop out the hook.

The SNAP'r can be used with any bait. Live bait, cut bait, dough bait, soft plastic lures, and flies all work very well. Remember to always bait your hook PRIOR to cocking the SNAP'r or you may hook yourself.

It can be rigged in many different ways to accommodate your style of fishing. When using soft plastic lures or flies we recomend rigging it Carolina style, with the weight above the SNAP'r on the mainline and a two to four foot leader to the hook. Put a larger weight than you would normally use, on the mainline, and you'll now be able to reach that channel that you've been searching for. The larger the weight, the more sensitive the SNAP'r becomes.

When drifting or deep water fishing (over 75 feet deep) try rigging it with a dropperloop system. Put the weight at the end of your mainline, attach the SNAP'r to the dropperloop, and tie your hook and a length of leader to the clip on the SNAP'r.

The SNAP'r by itself will sink at one foot every three seconds, so if you're casting flies, you can count it down. You can even use a float or bobber, to keep your bait up top, when searching for those surface feeding lunkers.

The SNAP'r features a "Chum Strip" made of absorbent felt that will adhere any scent or fish attractant to chum the water next to your bait or lure, making sure you get bit before the guy next to you does.

The SNAP’r is made in the U.S.A. with corrosion resistant and stainless steel components, so you can rely on it no matter where you are. Its patent pending technology, hair trigger action, and chum releasing feature make the SNAP’r the most versatile fishing tool in your tackle box. So whether you are fishing in salt or fresh water, for sea bass or trout, with the kids or by yourself; the SNAP’r is the perfect choice to ensure you never miss a bite again.

Wishing you tight lines,

Brad Matz, CEO
